The Conclusion of the Matter

Brenda Myree • Book Excerpts
Here it is! The final chapter of my book, "In the Process of Time" entitled "The Conclusion of the Matter". This sort of sums it all up. You were born for a purpose and the processes you have been through were only to mature you and bring you to the place where you can now be useful and fulfill your God-given purpose in His Body! I pray this will minister to you.

CHAPTER XII
THE CONCLUSION OF THE MATTER

"And He made from one [common origin, one source, one blood] all nations of men to settle on the face of the earth, having definitely determined [their] allotted periods of time and the fixed boundaries of their habitation (their settlements, lands, and abodes)", (Acts 17:26).

From the beginning of time, God had a plan for you.  When you were still spirit existing in Him, He had a plan and purpose for your life.  He knew exactly when you were to be born and what country you were to be born in!  How amazing!  He determined your allotted period of time and fixed the boundaries of your habitation!  You were born for such a time as this.  He gave you specific gifts and talents to accomplish your assignment. the purpose for which you were born!  Everything you have experienced in life so far has brought you to this point.  You are being and have been tempered, matured, character developed and still continue to grow with each new experience.  God designed you for a specific purpose in His ultimate plan.  You are another piece of the puzzle. without you being in place, it will never be complete.

"And the house, when it was in the building (in the process of being built), was built of stone made ready before it was brought thither (prepared and precut);  so that there was neither hammer nor axe nor any tool of iron heard in the house, while it was in building."   I Kings 6:7.  [Emphasis mine].

When Solomon was beginning to build his marvelous temple all the stones were "pre-cut" or "pre-pared" in the quarry.   According to Webster's, "pre" means before, prior to, in advance of, beforehand, in front of.  Now, "pare" means to reduce or remove by or as by cutting; diminish or decrease gradually; to pare or cut down, to make readyWebster's further defines "prepare" as:  arrange, workout, schedule, layout, fix, make ready, predetermine, forethink, premeditate, equip.

Each stone was so precisely cut that when brought together, every piece just slid in and locked into place.  No hammer, axe or tool of any kind was needed.  Isn't God awesome?!  Just as we are His handiwork, His workmanship, lively stones of His making, He is preparing and precutting us so precisely that we are to fit perfectly in "our" place within the Body of Christ.  I honestly believe that when we find our place "in" Him, not the place we want to be in but the place He is or has designed and prepared us for, we find our peace that passes all understanding and joy unspeakable and full of God's glory!

In 1 Corinthians 12:12-27 (NIV), Paul explains to the Church at Corinth that the Church is the Body of Christ and each part of the body is important.  Read on.

12 The body is a unit, though it is made up of many parts; and though all its parts are many, they form one body. So it is with Christ.

13 For we were all baptized by one Spirit into one body-whether Jews or Greeks, slave or free-and we were all given the one Spirit to drink.
14 Now the body is not made up of one part but of many

15 If the foot should say, "Because I am not a hand, I do not belong to the body," it would not for that reason cease to be part of the body.

16 And if the ear should say, "Because I am not an eye, I do not belong to the body," it would not for that reason cease to be part of the body.

17 If the whole body were an eye, where would the sense of hearing be? If the whole body were an ear, where would the sense of smell be?

18 But in fact God has arranged the parts in the body, every one of them, just as he wanted them to be. 19 If they were all one part, where would the body be?

20 As it is, there are many parts, but one body.
21 The eye cannot say to the hand, "I don't need you!" And the head cannot say to the feet, "I don't need you!"

22 On the contrary, those parts of the body that seem to be weaker are indispensable,

23 and the parts that we think are less honorable we treat with special honor. And the parts that are unpresentable are treated with special modesty,

24 while our presentable parts need no special treatment. But God has combined the members of the body and has given greater honor to the parts that lacked it,

25 so that there should be no division in the body, but that its parts should have equal concern for each other.

26 If one part suffers, every part suffers with it; if one part is honored, every part rejoices with it.
27 Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it.  [Emphasis mine].

Each and every part of the Body of Christ is important.  Every job, position, calling is important.  The Body cannot function properly without all the parts in their proper places performing the job they were created to do!  What would your own body look like if your eye was trying to do the job of your ear?  You could not hear because the eye was designed to see!  And we, as parts of the Lord's Body must find the part we were specifically designed to be and get into place and begin to function in that place because if we don't, His Body cannot function in the perfection in which He created it to function.

It is imperative in these last days that we all do what it necessary to find our place and start functioning in that place.  We cannot envy another part and wish we could be them or have their gifts or talents.  God has given us our own gifts and talents.  We each have everything we need within us to function in our God-given purpose.  Remember, He knew you before you were conceived.  He spoke a word over you, instilled you with gifts, talents, personality, and everything you needed to do what He has purposed you to do and to be.  He is preparing, precutting, and, just like Solomon having each stone prepared and precut for the building of the temple, using great precision, God is shaping and molding  you to fit into a specific place within His Body.

So, let's take another look at this thing called "process".  In Mark 10:21, Jesus tells the rich young ruler:

Then Jesus, looking at him, loved him, and said to him, "One thing you lack: Go your way, sell whatever you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, take up the cross, and follow Me."

What is this "cross"?  Personally, I believe the cross we are to take up or bear is our process.  It is everything we must go thru in life, everything we must endure, each and every challenge we face that is our cross.  Jesus willfully bore His cross.  He bowed His will to the Will of the Father.  He said, "Nevertheless, not my will but Yours be done."  Luke 22:42.  Jesus endured the cross for the joy that was set before Him.  Hebrews 12:2.  Jesus died on that cross because God had already shown Him the other side of the cross.  Just as we must die to our cross, our process, for the joy that will come on the other side.  We must allow Him to complete His work in us - where we have reached our place of "purpose".   I believe the Holy Spirit uses these things in life to shape us and mold us.  He uses these things to form and shape our personalities, our beliefs, our dispositions, our temperaments.  And, if we allow Him, He will help us to develop the fruit of the Spirit within us.  He will mature us and grow us up in the things of the Lord.  Remember, these things came to pass. they did not come to defeat or destroy us but to make us, to strengthen us, to show us areas which need to be changed, areas of weakness as well as strength.

So, what is the conclusion of the matter?

Ecclesiastes 12:13:
Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter:
Fear God and keep His commandments,
For this is man's all.

This says it all.  We are to have a reverential fear or awe of God to the point that His will and His plans for our lives are all that matter.  I believe that if we humble ourselves, put aside every weight, our wills - what we want - and allow the Holy Spirit to do a work in us it will be clear where we fit in the Body . we will find the place where we "fit".  No more being that square peg trying to fit into a round hole.  No more trying to walk in an anointing that was not meant for us.  We have been given an anointing that no one else carries!  No more trying to force things to happen for us.  Once we have been pre-pared, pre-cut, precisely to fit into place, we slide into our place in the Body and the anointing will flow.  It will just be there because we are doing what God always purposed for us to do, according to His will!

May you be richly blessed and function to the fullest.  We need all parts of His Body working at full capacity.  Jesus is returning for a Bride without spot or wrinkle, a Bride which reflects His image.  Looking back again at Romans 8:29, we are predestined, or it is our ultimate destination, to be conformed to the image of His Son, Jesus.  If God is to be glorified in our bodies, we must function in that which He has purposed us to be!  If the whole earth is to be filled with His glory, His Body must come into full stature, every part functioning to the fullest according to His purpose.  Embrace your process!
