Who is this third person of the Godhead and why is He so important? I have heard many people ask this question in one form or another. There are so many good books written on the Holy Spirit, who He is, what He does, etc. But, who is He really? He is different things to different people and no one will know Him the same way you do. Why? The same way you have friends. You have one "best" friend. What makes your best friend different from the others? The relationship you have with them. The Holy Spirit is the same way. You must form a relationship with Him. How? Spend time with Him in prayer (listening), reading the Word of God, worship. The Holy Spirit is all throughout the Bible, constantly moving. He is the one who gives you the revelation or insight as to who Jesus is... yes, He always points to Jesus. Without the Holy Spirit, it is impossible to "really" understand the Word - Jesus. Take a walk with me and increase your intimacy with Him and become "One".

Wow. How awesome is this? The Alpha and Omega. The beginning and the end. The first and the last! We as Christians often use or throw around these terms but do we really know what they mean? Sometimes we tend to take these phrases for granted and really do not understand what they mean. Just like King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Who really studies this stuff out to really see what these phrases mean and how they pertain to us as Christians? As a conclusion to the "I Am" series and, yes, I know, I skipped over I Am the Good Shepherd at the instruction of the Holy Spirit, I want to look at what Jesus meant when He said, "I Am the Alpha and Omega".

In John 11:25 Jesus proclaims, "I Am the resurrection and the life". We know that Jesus said this to Martha when Jesus came to the tomb of Lazarus. But, what is He speaking to us today when we read His Word and meditate on Him being the resurrection and the life? We know that we will be resurrected in the last days but what in your life needs to be resurrected now?

I remember, when I was young, the smell of bread cooking in my grandmother's kitchen. The aroma was awesome. I couldn't wait for the bread to come out of the oven so I could have a piece. Unlike the bread of today, bread during Biblical times was more hearty. It was made of different whole grains, nuts, fruits. It was a meal in itself. So what did Jesus mean when He said, "I Am the Bread of Life"?

Did you ever have a "favorite" teacher when you were in school. One who just went the extra mile to make sure you "got it"? Or one who just kept encouraging you and would get down on the floor with your to show you, to be an example, or just really inspired you? Well, Jesus is that kind of teacher. He taught and still teaches by example through the written Word. Keep reading and see how a good teacher teaches!

Do you ever hear something or see something out of the ordinary and all of a sudden you receive a revelation from God? Well, that's exactly what happened to me about 2:00 a.m. the other night as I was sleeping. I was suddenly awakened by .....

On New Year's Eve, I had listened to some "nice" sermons concerning the "I Am's" of Jesus. During prayer and meditation at the beginning of 2010, it was impressed upon me to begin a series on the "I Am's" of Jesus but that God would reveal a deeper revelation than that of former teachings. As I began to study, I came across an "I Am" that I never heard taught before. This is the first "I Am" in the Gospel of John. Jesus says, "I Am the One (who speaks)...

God always seems to use "real life" situations to open up a spiritual truth to me. I was recently diagnosed with a congenital heart defect which needs to be corrected immediately. The surgeon was surprised I was still alive. I believe God has preserved me for such a time as this. In preparing for open heart surgery, God started posing some questions to me regarding my "spiritual" heart condition as well as the spiritual heart condition of today's Christians in general. I pray this article will minister to you.
